traffic safety is everybody's business. records show that every year a lot of people die in traffic accidents. some of the accidents are due to mechanical problems.
however， most of them are the results of careless and reckless driving， and could be avoided. a lot of people disregard traffic signals and rules. they drive regardless of speed limits， run through red lights， drive in the wrong direction， talk and laugh while driving， and turn as they wish without giving signals. they don't slow down while approaching crossroads. so many people violate traffic regulations that we cannot put too much emphasis on the importance of traffic safety.
only when everybody thinks traffic safety is everybody's business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on sidewalks.

There are some differences between putonghua and some dialects, which are spoken in different parts of China, including the dongbei dialect.
Written Chinese and grammar are almost the same, but there are some words in the dongbei dialect that are not used by people who speak putonghua. For example, dongbei people often use “gala” to mean “jiaoluo” in putonghua, and use “an’men” to mean “wo’men”.
It is easy to tell small differences in pronunciation and intonation between putonghua and the dongbei dialect. For example, “ren” is often pronounced as “yin”. At present most students are under too much pressure. So am I. My spare time is filled with school homework and extra lessons. So I hardly have time to do other activities. Though studying hard is important I realize it is not enough for our happy lives. So I decide to have some changes.
First I will spend some time running around the playground after school instead of doing homework at once. It will relax myself and keep me in a clear mind while doing my homework. Next I’m going to join an art club. Drawing pictures makes me keep calm and painting is also my hobby. Then I’m going to study with my friends at home on Friday nights. It’s a good chance for us to learn from each other and improve our skills.
There are many ways to change myself. I will choose the ones that are suitable for me. I think with these changes my life will be happier.
