I am writing to you to talk about taking up occupations for college graduates. Nowadays many graduates are looking forward to obtaining employment in big cities, not willing to work in the countryside.
As a matter of fact, there are not enough opportunities to satisfy most of the hunters in big cities while in the countryside talented people are badly needed and a lot of posts are waiting for us. Rural areas are a vast world, where you can put your abilities to good use and you’ll be able to make greater contributions to the building of new countryside.
Therefore, I believe we can have as bright a future in the country as we have in the city.

The majority of the students, making up 70%, are more realistic and don’t expect a high salary. They think it sensible to land a job as soon as possible. In this way, they hope to reduce the burden on their families. They also believe there are better opportunities for development offered in the west or in rural areas.

In order to be better prepared for the future job-hunting, one fifth of them choose to stay in universites for further education, or go to vacational schools to learn practical skills. As for me, I will take my interests and abilities into account while choosing a job. It may not be a decent job with a handsome income, but will surely be most suited to me. I hope my first job will offer an opportunity to learn new skills and gain rich experience.

As for me, I think after a series of timely measures taken by the government, we are confident about and capable of overcoming the current difficulties and challenges and the employment prospects for graduates will be better soon. So all we need to do now is plan and act in ways that reflect the reality, to assure that we make full use of our talent and skills.
