Dear Alex,
Our school has invited the world-famous expert Dr. Smith to give us an online lecture on personal hygiene. It will be held at 2:00 pm on May 26th and broadcast on the live channel of our school’s website. In the lecture, Dr. Smith will stress the importance of personal hygiene and offer some suggestions on how to practice it. By holding the lecture, our school expects us to pay more attention to personal hygiene, so as to reduce the incidence of diseases. This is a unique learning opportunity. My Low-carbon Life
The environmental pollution is worse and worse today. Many trees are cut down, and water and air are polluted. As a student I try to have a low-carbon life to save energy and reduce pollution.
Firstly, I often walk to school. It can reduce air pollution. Secondly, I always turn off the lights and fans when leaving the classroom. Thirdly, I always make full use of paper and other school things and never waste water.
I wish more students to join me and make the earth more and more beautiful.

Dear Peter,
The picture is about aChinese idiom“wen ji qi wu”. This idiom originated from a well-known story happened in Xin Jin Dynasty. In order to serve their country well, two patriotic young men, named Zu Ti and Liu Kun, both got up and practised sword playing the moment they heard the cock crow. Day by day and year in, year out, they never stopped. Later, they all made great contributions to protecting their country.
Nowadays, people usually use the phrase“rising up upon hearing the crow of a rooster to practise sword playing”to signify that someone is exerting himself to do something worthwhile. It is also used to describe that a person of noble aspirations exerts himeself in time.
If you have any other questions about this idiom, please tell me.
Yours,
Li Hua

Li Hua spent too much time playing computer games and he fell behind others. As a good friend of his, I must do something to help him.
Firstly, I think it’s very important for him to learn lessons well. He should spend most of his time on his study instead of computer games. Secondly, I must tell him that playing computer games too much is bad for his health, especially for his eyes. So he must give it up. I can play more sports with him after school. Maybe he will become more interested in sports than computer games. And then I'll ask him to concentrate more on his study. Of course, I will try my best to help him with all his subjects. I think I can do it in many fun ways and let him find much fun in studying. At the same time, I'll ask both his parents and our teachers to help him, too.
If I try these, I'm sure he will make great progress soon.

Look! This is Tom’s room. His photos are on the wall. His T-shirt is on the bed. His baseball bat is behind the dresser. The keys are in the drawer. The computer is on the desk. Where is Tom’s baseball? Oh, It’s under the bed. What is on the floor? They are Tom’s shoes, socks and computer games. What do you think of Tom’s room?
