Two Holes for the Dogs
My uncle has two dogs. One is big and the other is small. He likes them very much. One day, Mr. Smith came to visit him. When the friend saw two holes in the door, a large hole and a small hole, he was surprised and said, “My dear friend, why are there two holes in your door?” “Let my dogs come in and come out, of course,” Mr. Smith asked. “But why are there two holes? One is enough!” “But how can the big dog go through the small hole?” my uncle said. Sometimes a clever man may make such mistakes.

A Wolf in sheep's clothing
A wolf wanted to eat the sheep, but he was afraid of the vigilant shepherd and his dogs. One day the wolf found the skin of a sheep. He put it on and walked among the sheep. A lamb thought that the wolf was its mother because his skin looked like hers. So it followed the wolf. Soon after they had left the dogs, the wolf came at the lamb and ate it up. For some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals.

寓意：事物的外表有時候會掩蓋它的本質(zhì)，所以我們不能只憑表面現(xiàn)象就作判斷。

《The fox and crow》
One day a crow stood on a branch near his nest and felt very happy with themeat in his mouth. At that time, a fox saw the crow with the meat, so he swallowedand eagerly thought of a plan to get the meat. However, whatever the fox said tothe crow, the crow just kept silent. Until the fox thought highly of the crow’sbeautiful voice, the crow felt flattered and opened his mouth to sing. As soon as he meat fell down to the ground, the fox took the meat and went into his hole.
有一天,一只烏鴉嘴里叼著一片肉，非常高興的站在樹枝上自己的窩旁。這時候，一只狐貍看見了，饞得直流口水，非常想得到那片肉。但是，無論狐貍說什么，烏鴉就是不理睬狐貍。最后，狐貍便贊美烏鴉的嗓音最優(yōu)美，并請求烏鴉唱幾句讓他欣賞。烏鴉聽了狐貍的奉承話得意極了，就真的唱起歌來。沒想到，它一開口肉就掉了下來，狐貍叼起肉鉆回了自己的洞。
