雅思大作文范文:傳統(tǒng)文化類
The progression of globalization is inevitableandundeniable. It has been widely noted that many ofthe world’s languages and cultures are dying out. Toseek the solution, we should take a closer look atthe causes first.
Most important of all is the objective reason. The essenceof globalization iscommercializationand centralization. It is convenientin communication that someprevalentlanguages and cultures have its predominance, which makes superior of the seniorand inferiorityof the junior. That leads to deteriorationof some minors. These languages andcultures will be overlooked and devalued until they completely die out.
As concaveand convexsides of a nutshell, it has subjective reason. With the burgeoningof some VIPs, many migrants have swarmedinto the dreamlands due to economic drive andstimulation, meanwhile engaged in local culture perspective and discarding their nativelanguages and cultures as a ‘betrayal’.
Hence this is a problem which must be solved as soon as possible. We should remind theworld of versatilityof the minor cultures through popular media such as music, artifacts orhistorical heritage, thus renovatingthe music festivals artistic activities and museums. Inaddition, let more people, especially the young men, use their own language.
Never tiring, never yielding, never finishing. We make the purpose, to prevent losingworld’s cultural and linguisticdiversity. “This way a long, tapering, strip of bark can be peeledup to the length of the tree, leaving the tree to heal and continue to grow,” says the UnitedNations Environment Programme Report.
雅思大作文范文:語言滅絕
Now the chance of experiencing differentlifestyles or imitating to speak a few words of otherlanguages for fun is slim due to the disappearanceof some cultures and languages. I think thatsuperstitious cultures and languages behind moderntimes cannot survive.
Once I visited Se ethnic minorities village, located on a hillside in south of China. To mydisappointment, I did not feel a different thing about ethnic clothes, food or music.Ridiculously, an old villager said that the forefather of his race had been an embodiment of afairy with a dog head and a human body! The old generations have been proud of being thedescendants of the fairy; however, Generation Y may feel ashamed of that because they knowexactly this is a superstitious myth and to be a dog's descendants is not a gloriousthing.Apparently, the cultures basing on superstitious belief would be torn down by socialprogress.
Further more, a language without written methods may be replaced by advanced one. There are many parts of the world where people cannot write because they do nothave their own written language. The only way they can preserve their history is to recount itas sagas handed down from one generation of storytellers to another. With the fast pace ofglobalization, international aid can be put forward to reach every corner of the world. Thoseunderdeveloped or isolated areas could receive food, medicine and education. The advancedcivilization has pervaded into those primitive cultures hence they have started to learn writingsomething by the means of the available language accompanied with aid. Therefore theiroriginal one would have disappeared.
In conclusion, the disappearance of some cultures or languages is not worth preventing. This is an unavoidable outcome of the global economic growth. Most importantly, people canenjoy more prosperity and social progress.
雅思大作文范文:學(xué)好一門語言的方法
I fully support the assertion that to learn a languagewell, we should also learn about the country as wellas the cultures and lifestyles of the people whospeak it.
Let’s first see how we normally define “learning a language really well”. By my understanding, learning a language well would mean being able to speak the language in a proper way. Here, with speaking it properly, we need to know that due to cultural differences, many things arejust so different from culture to culture. For example, the Chinese often greet each other byasking ‘Have you taken your meal?’ which, to the Western ears, would make an invitation tolunch or dinner. Therefore, the lack of a knowledge of the cultures of different countries will giverise to wrong interpretations of the message issued or received and as a result, lead tomisunderstandings. In this way, we can not say that we are speaking the language properly andfurther, we can not say that we speak it well.
Second, the ultimate purpose for us to learn alanguage is to use it in our communication withother people who speak it, mainly the nativespeakers. Suppose we know nothing about the USor Britain, including its government, its people, itstradition, and its other aspects. Do you think youcan speak English properly, thus achieving effectivecommunication with the American or British people?I’ll say at least I can’t.
Third, the lifestyle of the people whose language we are learning is also something we need toknow in order that we can speak their language properly. For instance, the Chinese eat pork, but this is not the case with Muslims. Also, Muslims are very religious people and performrituals many times a day. If we don’t know these things, how can we expect to communicatewith them without incurring troubles? In this logic, if we cannot make sure that we are speakingtheir language properly, how can we say that we have learned their language well?
From the above discussion, we can draw the conclusion that to learn a language really well, wealso need to learn about the country as well as the cultures and lifestyles of the people whospeak it.
