Men have only one chance to live in this world. Life is precious, so is time . The time you hold in your hand is so limited that you can’t afford to waste it. Once you let it slip away, you’ll never chase it back.

Since time is so precious, how can we make the most of it?In my point of view, judgment and efficiency are the two key ingredients. It is vital to have a sense of judgment. Whenever you are to make a decision, you should weigh the pros and cons. Therefore , it is much less possible to be regretful, thus avoid wasting time. And if you are sure you make the right decision, just jump on it and be decisive. Meanwhile, efficiency is also important. Being efficient

means you are more productive than others. In this way, you are more competitive. As longs as you can entirely concentrate on the work you are doing, you will naturally get your efficiency improved.

As the saying goes, ‘ Time and tide wait for no man’ . Always bear in heart that time is precious but really limited. So it is wise of you to make careful arrangement of your time.

As is known to us all, the most precious thing in the world is nothing but “today”. Therefore, it is necessary and significant for us to manage our time efficiently. There are some suggestions and methods to manage our time.

First, the most important thing is to know and understand how we have spent and managed our time before. Only in this way can we know in which we have wasted our time. We can do this by sorting out all things we do every day and then select the necessary thing and

  the wasted time.

Second, after the first step, what we should do is choosing the correct time. As the saying goes, “to choose time is to save time”. For one thing, we have to know and understand that which period we have more efficiency and have better quality in work or study so that we know how to make our schedule. For another, it is better to do the most important and urgent thing first in that we

barely have enough time to finish all task within a day.

Last but not the least, it is valuable to take full advantage of our leisure time tiny pieces of time. For example, we can do some reading when we are waiting for a bus, or we can practice our listening on our way to school.

To sum up, time, like water in sponge, can be squeezed out if we like. Therefore, take full use of our time in that it is essential to lead a full and happy life.

  How to manage time

Time treats everyone fairly that we all have 24 hours per day. Some of us are capable to make good use of time while some find it hard to do so. Knowing how to manage them is essential in our life.

Take myself as an example. When I was still a senior high student, I was fully occupied with my studies. Therefore, I hardly had spare time to have fun or develop my hobbies. But things were changed after I entered university. I got more free time than ever before. But ironically, I found it difficult to adjust this kind of brand-new school life and there was no such thing called time management on my mind. It was not until the second year that I realized I had wasted my whole year doing nothing. I could have taken up a Spanish course. I could have read ten books about the stories of successful people. I could have applied for a part-time job to earn some working experiences. But I didn’t spend my time on any of them. I felt guilty whenever I looked back to the moments that I just sat around doing nothing.

It’s said that better late than never. At least I had the consciousness that I should stop wasting my time. Making up my mind is the first step for me to learn to manage my time. Next, I wrote a timetable, setting some targets that I had to finish each day. For instance, on Monday, I must read two pieces of news and review all the lessons that I have learnt on that day. By the way, the daily plan that I made was flexible. If there’s something unexpected that I had to finish first, I would reduce the time for resting or delay my target to the next day. Also, I would try to achieve those targets ahead of time that I planed so that I could reserve some more time to relax or do something out of my plan. At the beginning, it’s kind of difficult to stick to the plan. But as time went by, having a plan for time in advance became a part of my life. At the same time, I gradually became a well-organized person.

Now I’ve grasped the time management skill and I’m able to use my time efficiently.

If you ask me what is the most precious, I would say that it’s time. Time is something once lost, you could never have again.

Sincc I entered college I have felt a great burden off my mind and I just want to relax.I did too many meaningless things to kill my time, such as playing computer games, watching TV, or gossiping. When i do these things, the time has long been unwittingly flowed away. I seldom work on my lessons unless there is an examination. Then i work under pressure. I know it is not good, but what I lack is self control.I know it is a problem, and it is time i did something about it.

In my opinion, the best way to make full use of time is planning your time rationally and sticking the plan firmly. Spending more time on something significant not only will make your life fulfilling, but also will give you a sense of accomplishment. Instead, killing your time with meaningless things would bring you depression even despair. Remember that those who abandon time will be also abandoned by time.

As youth, we are in the prime of our life. We should make good use of our golden time. The teachers take pains to teach us every day so that we can acquire more knowledge. We study in the university and spending money that our parents work hard to earn 。Parents hope we can learn knowledge in the university. We should not fail their expectations. I should not rest content with what I have done. Entering cnllege is just a step in the threshold of the palace of knowledge. The road is long. The modern age needs the well educated. The future world is highly competitive. If we idle away our time while young wo shall regret it in vain when we are did.

Therefore, we should cherish it and spend it in meaningful things.

Time waits for no one. If it flows away, it will never come to us again. We can't take charge of

our time but we should know the importance of time and cherish time.

What is time? Is it a thing to be saved or spent or wasted, like money? Or is it something we have no control over, like the weather? Americans see time as a valuable resource. Maybe that‘s why they are fond of the expression, "Time is money."

The early American hero Benjamin Franklin expressed this view best: "Do you love life? Then do not waste time, for that is the stuff life is made of."

American lifestyles show how much people respect the time of others. When people plan an event, they often set the time days or weeks in advance. Once the time is fixed, it takes almost an emergency to change it.

Even Americans would admit that no one can master time. Time-like money-slips all too easily through our fingers. And time-like the weather-is very hard to predict. Nevertheless, time is one of life‘s most precious gifts. And unwrapping it is half the fun.

From the chart above .it can be seen clearly that in recent ten years the time the students spend on computer has increased rapidly. In 1990, a student only spent 1 hour on the computer per week. However, by 2000, the number had reached as many as 20 hours.

The following reasons can account for this tremendous change. Among them, the sharply decrease of the computer price plays an important role. More and more families can afford a computer for their children. In addition, more and more net bars provide students with convenient access to computer. Besides, internet provides people an amazing world to explore, which attracts more students to sit in front of the computer screen.

From my point of view, there are still some problems in student use of computers. A typical one is that some students are addicted to computer games. Besides, some students rely on computers too much, which limits their independent thinking. Therefore, necessary instruction should be given to students to guarantee their reasonable use of computers.
