In modern society, pressure is ubiquitous. As students, we have to endure the pressure from examination, from homework and from our parents’ expectations. As workers, people are faced with the pressure from deadline, from difficulties and from finance and so on. Here I would like to give some suggestions about relieving pressure.
First of all, to confide to others is an efficient way for relieving pressure. When we feel so anxious and worried that we cannot continue to work or study, go to talk with our friends or family members and we will get some relief and feel better. Second, to do some exercises is another way to relieve pressure. If we are under pressure for a long time, doing some exercises can make us refreshed and regain power to continue our task. Finally, another common way for women to relieve pressure is to cry. The effect of crying is the similar as the effect of confiding to others. After crying, we would find that we are relaxed and then we have spirit to fight against difficulties again.
In a word, there are many ways to relieve our pressure. But the most important point is that if we cannot solve the problem at once, we need to call off our attention from the pressure we are faced with to other things. Only in this way we would not be entangled with the pressure for a long time.
Stress is one of our biggest enemies. It affectsour health, our personality, and our relationshipswith others. In order to get rid of stress. I first have to identify the cause. I have differentantidotes to stress depending on the cause. The most common types of stress I face are withwork, with friends, and with myself.
Work-related stress is the easiest to combat. I simply stop working for a while. If I findmyself picking up the same piece of paper four times a day and never doing anything with it, Iblame stress. The best thing to do is to do something else. Sometimes, I get up from my deskand go down the hall to talk to my colleagues, but I don't talk about work related subjects.Other times, I will take a short walk around the block and get some fresh air. Work-relatedstress can be cured by getting away from the work.
Stress caused by friends is more difficult to cure. Often the cause is more complicated. Myfriends could have a personal problem that causes them and me both anxiety. Or my friendscould be angry at me or vice versa. Here, the cure for stress is talking about the problem andbeing with my friends. Unlike work, you can't walk away from your friends.
Stress I cause myself is also not so easy to get rid of. If I feel bothered by an exam oranxious about the future, there is very little for me to do. I just have to tell myself that I canonly do my best and leave the rest up to fate.
It is important to try to lead a stress-free life. If you can avoid stress by walking awayform it (like at work), talking through it (like with your friends) or facing it head on (like withyourself), your health, personality and relationships will benefit.
