　　不知道用英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)的原因?

　　在雅思考試中，常常會(huì)被問(wèn)到的一個(gè)問(wèn)題就是喜好的問(wèn)題，What’s yourfavourite colour? What’s your favourite animal? What’s your favourite number? Whatflower do you like? 好，烤鴨們被問(wèn)到這樣的問(wèn)題，第一反應(yīng)就是：My favourite…is…。

　　或者就是I like…. 這樣的回答不能說(shuō)好，至少?zèng)]錯(cuò)，但一旦被問(wèn)到Why? 的時(shí)候，許多學(xué)生大概瞬間“石化”了，第一反應(yīng)就是：No why. 且不說(shuō)沒(méi)有回答考官想要的答案，更不用說(shuō)考官想從你的答案中“探測(cè)”出你的英語(yǔ)水平。這個(gè)回答：No why? What do you mean by saying“No why”?至少你得說(shuō)出There’s no reason吧，如果要更簡(jiǎn)單點(diǎn)， I just like it，也比犯一個(gè)那么明顯的語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤要強(qiáng)。

　　那么，造成這種現(xiàn)象的原因在哪兒呢?

　　究其原因，不外乎就是：口才不夠好。有烤鴨說(shuō)“我連中文都不知道怎么說(shuō)!”， “哪有那么多為什么?就是喜歡啊!”假設(shè)是好朋友之間的閑聊，兩人熟得不得了，一方約著出去玩，另一方不去，“就是不想去啊!”，于是乎一方說(shuō)“去嘛去嘛!”，于是你們倆拉扯著就出去了。但雅思考試畢竟是考試，你在學(xué)校的時(shí)候肯定不會(huì)拉著監(jiān)考老師說(shuō)“老師，我不答不答就是不答啦!”，同樣的，在雅思口語(yǔ)考試中，你也不可能讓考官覺(jué)得“我不說(shuō)我不說(shuō)就是不說(shuō)啦!”在雅思口語(yǔ)考試評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中Fluency and Coherence 的6分評(píng)判標(biāo)準(zhǔn)第一句話就是“is willing to speak at length”，一句No why就足夠把你和考官之間的對(duì)話潑上一盆冷水，于是乎：GAME OVER。

　　烤鴨說(shuō)了，“我想說(shuō)啊，說(shuō)不出來(lái)啊!”好，那么，請(qǐng)問(wèn)如果中文能說(shuō)出來(lái)嗎?如果能，那么很好，原因肯定是：1.詞匯量不夠;2. 句型結(jié)構(gòu)不熟悉。那么要努力的方向就很明確了。如果不能，那么原因肯定是：知識(shí)面不夠廣。那么是不是要多讀些報(bào)紙呢?是不是要多看點(diǎn)新聞呢?是不是廣涉獵群書(shū)呢?

　　一說(shuō)就是錯(cuò)的原因?

　　烤鴨們?cè)谥笇?dǎo)老師面前，永遠(yuǎn)都是有骨頭的雞蛋，事實(shí)上，并不是老師在雞蛋里挑骨頭，是自己吞了些骨頭存著，老師說(shuō)：你描述的人明明是女性，為什么從頭到尾都是he呢?你描述的這個(gè)人明明已經(jīng)離世，為什么還有一直用的是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)，甚至有現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)呢?在雅思考試?yán)?，一說(shuō)就是錯(cuò)的原因不外乎：1.用詞的準(zhǔn)確性錯(cuò)誤;2.語(yǔ)法的錯(cuò)誤。典型的用詞錯(cuò)誤在于詞性的亂用，名詞修飾名詞，副詞修飾名詞等，語(yǔ)法的錯(cuò)誤在于，時(shí)態(tài)的混亂使用，人稱的男女不分，非真實(shí)的條件，總是不記得用虛擬語(yǔ)氣。

　　學(xué)生的描述給老師最多的感覺(jué)就是，我怎么樣，我怎么樣，I am…, I like…, I think…,說(shuō)到喜歡類，從來(lái)只是用like，于是乎，like這個(gè)詞估計(jì)早就累死了。你想說(shuō)I am Jack，是不是可以換成You can call me Jack?你想說(shuō)I like…，是不是可以把like替換成be keen on, 替換成be crazy about,或者是 be a huge fan of，再來(lái)個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單的adore，這些都比like要波瀾很多;你想說(shuō)I think，是不是可以換成I suppose, 是不是可以用上很熟悉，但總沒(méi)有I think那么脫口而出的in my opinion呢?

　　給人感覺(jué)像白開(kāi)水，像平靜湖面的除了詞匯的多樣性，不得不提到的還要語(yǔ)法使用的靈活性了?？绝唫儚慕佑|英語(yǔ)開(kāi)始，最開(kāi)始學(xué)得大概就是My name is…, I come from…， 主系表結(jié)構(gòu)和主謂賓結(jié)構(gòu)，很好，沒(méi)有任何的錯(cuò)誤，有人問(wèn)你How are you?你的回答一定是I’m fine, thank you , andyou?雅思口語(yǔ)考試評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中Grammatical range and accuracy 部分的5分里，produces basic sentence forms with reasonableaccuracy告訴你，用簡(jiǎn)單句，你用準(zhǔn)確了，撐死5分。6分里，uses a mix of simple and complex structures but with limitedflexibility告訴你，你用了較復(fù)雜的句型，不太靈活，也還是能達(dá)到6分，這就啟發(fā)我們，如果想說(shuō)My favourite…的時(shí)候，可以換成What interests me themost is…，于是乎，簡(jiǎn)單句就變成了主語(yǔ)從句，再穿插著多用幾個(gè)，那么該部分的評(píng)分要達(dá)到6分?近在咫尺。

　　除了詞匯、語(yǔ)法，那些平靜，一定還會(huì)來(lái)自于你的感情，你說(shuō)你說(shuō)得很有感情，考官說(shuō)，我們感覺(jué)到，flat是考官會(huì)用到的評(píng)價(jià)，你的語(yǔ)音可以有中式的口音，只要能讓人輕松地理解，但要讓考官想聽(tīng)，沒(méi)有感情的敘述只會(huì)帶來(lái)“背誦”的嫌疑，沒(méi)有人會(huì)愿意花時(shí)間去看一個(gè)沒(méi)有情節(jié)的影片，更不用說(shuō)還要花錢買單，考官不會(huì)愿意在聽(tīng)不下去的情況下還給你高分，簡(jiǎn)單說(shuō)來(lái)，回答或是描述或是交流時(shí)，有感情地說(shuō)，讓你的語(yǔ)言有高低，有起伏，聽(tīng)起來(lái)不是流水賬，而是有高潮有情節(jié)的影片。

The cloakroom where you can hang your coat or leave your bags is just behind us here. The education centre is on the top floor and there’s a good little library in there which you might like to use. Follow the signs to the Education Centre--you’11 see a lot of little green arrows on the wall. The green arrows will take you there. The information desk, marked with the small letter i on your plan is located right here in the foyer, so if you get separated from your friends, I suggest you make your way back to the information desk because we’11 be returning to this spot at the end of the tour. All right?

I don’t recommend it for the grandmas and grandpas because there are lots of stairs to climb. Right, now, let’s move on. Oh, I almost forgot to give you the times for that tour. Now, tours of the Vampire run on the hour, every hour. All right?

At the end of this section we’11 come to the Picture Gallery where we’ve got a marvelous collection of paintings, all by Australian artists. I think you can buy reproductions of some of these paintings in the museum shop. Well worth a good look.

You’11 find all sorts of things there: old suitcases, ships’ crockery, first class cabins decorated in the fashion of the day. Just imagine what it must have been like to travel first class.
