英語發(fā)音不好怎么辦
提高英語發(fā)音的方法
1.學習弱讀
為什么母語者講話會那么快?因為他們經(jīng)常會將句子中一些不重要的單詞輕輕帶過,也就是我們所說的“弱讀”。
比如,for,正常讀音為/fɔːɾ/,弱讀形式為/fəɾ/.
Eg1. This is for the meeting on Monday.
Eg2. I am going to be late for class.
如果你預期聽到的讀音是/fɔːɾ/,而實際上你聽到的卻是/fəɾ/.那么你很可能就不會意識到它就是for.
2 學習連讀
英語是一種十分連貫的語言,不像漢語發(fā)音講究每個字每個詞發(fā)音獨立和清晰。英語母語者說起英語來像唱歌一樣,前一個單詞的結(jié)尾和后一個單詞的開頭經(jīng)常會連起來發(fā)音,并且有自己的節(jié)奏在里面。很普遍的一個中式發(fā)音問題就是,許多人說英語跟說漢語一樣,每個單詞都被獨立地說出來,聽起來讓人感覺很生硬。
我們總是覺得英語聽力音頻里語速太快,一個原因是他們會經(jīng)常使用單詞的弱讀形式,另外一個原因就是連讀了。舉個簡單的例子:Can I help you? 這里can 和I就可以練起來讀。an apple, an 和apple的a也是可以連讀。連讀的形式多種多樣,如果想練好英語口音的話還需要系統(tǒng)的學習。
3 學習語調(diào)(intonation)
另一個經(jīng)常被英語學習者忽視的地方就是語調(diào)(intonation)了。Intonation describes how the voice rises and falls in speech. 語調(diào)就是指聲音的升降了。你會不會覺得英語母語者說話自帶一種節(jié)奏,就跟漢語中的抑揚頓挫一樣。語調(diào)這種東西必須要多聽多體會。比如當你問一個問題時,尤其是答案為yes或no的問題時,例如:Are you going to school today? 語調(diào)應該是上升的。
除此之外,還要注意每個單詞的重音,比如economy, 重音在第二個音節(jié);adjective,重音在第一個音節(jié)。而在每個句子中,不同單詞的音調(diào)也有所不同,一般來說句子中單詞重音在名詞,動詞,形容詞等實詞上,而非介詞,連詞等虛詞。
4 聽寫練習
找一段30秒到1分鐘的段音頻,一句一句聽寫,第一遍沒有聽到的單詞第二遍第三遍再去補齊,有時候你只聽到了一個單詞發(fā)音,但并不知道是哪個單詞,也不知道如何拼寫,你可以根據(jù)自己聽到的聲音大概地拼寫一下。如此反復,直到你聽出了所有的單詞,或者你實在聽不出某些單詞了。
接下來對照文本,標出哪些你沒有聽出來的地方,然后,找出你為什么沒有聽出來的原因。是因為單詞不認識?自己對這個單詞的讀音有錯誤?語速太快?沒有意識到這個單詞被弱讀了或者跟前后的單詞連讀了?
找出原因之后在對癥下藥。繼續(xù)聽原音頻,體會哪些你沒有聽出來的地方,一遍一遍,直到你熟悉那種發(fā)音模式。
網(wǎng)絡(luò)上帶文本的音頻資源有很多,比如我們公眾號每天推送的Diary of a wimpy kid就可以做為聽寫的入門材料。其他資源有TED talks,VOA, BBC, 并且這些資源都是分難度等級的,大家選擇適合自己水平的材料就好。但是提醒大家:千萬不要只囤資源,而不去學習!
