Topic:Foreign vistors should pay more than local vistors for cultural and historical attractions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

With the abundance of overseas travels, there has been various discussions that whether foreign visitors should be charged more than local citizens for cultural and historical attractions. Personally, I completely disagree with such different treatments.

It would not be feasible to raise the entrance fee of local historical heritages. Primarily, the inflow of foreign visitors would display a downward trend if they lose faith at the prices, which in turn means unequal treatments between foreign visitors and local visitors may easily result in decline of tourist number and impression. Secondly, in most situations, domestic visitors dominate tourist quantity in many historical spots. Thus, the implement of policy that charges foreign visitors more would become meaningless. It may not be able to lower the upper control limit of domestic visitors, but reduce the number of foreign visitors.

On the other hand, the development of domestic tourism may have enhanced from increasing prices. For example, lifting entrance fees will bring GDP growth, so there would be extra fund from overseas to restore historical buildings in the sightseeing spots. Spending more to understand new culture in tourism is needed. This is also a honorific form to new culture.

In conclusion, I don’t believe any price lifting measures would be made for foreign tourists as the drawbacks would definitely exceeds its little profits.
