Secondly, you’d better buy a short wave radio to pick up the English programmes. There are a lot of good English language programmes broadcast on the radio. Those programmes are usually easy to receive and not difficult to understand. They are of great help to you in learning English. At last, you can find some pen-friends in English-speaking countries and write to them in English. If you have some questions, you can write them down and ask for some information you need. Thus, I’m sure every learner can learn English well.

I am glad to tell you that I am going to Beijing to take part in an English speech contest in July ,which is not only an honor ,but also an opportunity for me to improve myself. According to a recent survey by some experts, this games will raise our GDP by about 3%, and offer about 10,000 jobs. What’s more, our culture will be widely recognized and accepted all over the world through the Games. People will come over from every corner of the world, and experience Chinese culture in every aspect. Besides, through the games, our living environment will be greatly improved. For example, the public transportation system will be up-dated. Moreover, it’s known that more trees will be planted, and grassland will be considerably expanded.

One thing to remember is to keep notes all the time. I follow myreview plan strictly and have made progress in my study. It turns out to be good enough. Ofcourse, there is more than one way to review. So long as we review regularly, we can find moreways to improve our studies.

The Importance of Learning English
English is not just a lesson. We learn English because it is useful to us. When we want to communicate with a foreigner, we shall probably speak English. Becasue English covers a very wide area, and it is a global language. If we can's speak English, it will be hard for us to step out of our country.
The technology of China is not very developed comparing to America and many other countries. So if we want to learn others' technics, we have to read their relevant materials which are probably written in English. If we don't know much about English, we shall not make fast progress.
However, most of the students find it difficult to learn English well. Because remembering words is really a hard job for them. In my opinion, you should treat it as a tool for communication instead of a course like math or physics. We should speak it more to others, thus improving our ability of speaking.
In a word, English is very important to us without which we will be dumb people who can speak.
