關系代詞在定語從句中作介詞后面的賓語時,有時可把介詞提到關系代詞的前面，但這時如果先行詞是人，要用“介詞+whom”引導定語從句;如果先行詞是物，要用“介詞+which”引導定語從句。且關系代詞都不能省略。
Eg: 1. The girl whom I borrowed the bike from is my friend.
2. The girl from whom I borrowed the bike is my friend.
3. How is the film about which I often talked to you?
4. Is this the room in which Mr. Smith lives?
注意：一些固定的含有介詞的短語動詞在定語從句中不能拆開，即不能把介詞放關系詞前。
