　　didn't need to do表示： 過(guò)去不必做某事, 事實(shí)上也沒(méi)做。

　　needn't have done表示： 過(guò)去不必做某事, 但事實(shí)上做了。

　　John went to the station with the car to meet Mary, so she didn't need to walk back home. 約翰開(kāi)車(chē)去車(chē)站接瑪麗，所以她不必步行回家了。

　　John went to the station with the car to meet Mary, so she needn't have walked back home. 約翰開(kāi)車(chē)去車(chē)站接瑪麗，所以她本不必步行回家了。 (Mary步行回家，沒(méi)有遇上John的車(chē)。)

　　典型例題

　　There was plenty of time. She ___.

　　A. mustn't have hurried　 B. couldn't have hurried　　C. must not hurry　 D. needn't have hurried

　　答案D。needn't have done. 意為"本不必"，即已經(jīng)做了某事，而時(shí)實(shí)際上不必要。

　　Mustn't have done 用法不正確，對(duì)過(guò)去發(fā)生的事情進(jìn)行否定性推斷應(yīng)為couldn't have done, "不可能已經(jīng)"。 must not do 不可以(用于一般現(xiàn)在時(shí))。

　　很多人一邊看著好萊塢的電影一邊就把英語(yǔ)(論壇)學(xué)好了。但是也有些人看了幾千部好萊塢電影，還是一個(gè)字都不會(huì)說(shuō)!!對(duì)了，關(guān)鍵在于你不能只是看著玩，還必須抱著學(xué)習(xí)的目的認(rèn)真的看。

　　The steps may annoy your emotion but if you want to learn English you better follow below steps. Otherwise, you may lost your time and effort without nothing.

　　下面這3個(gè)步驟也許會(huì)讓你覺(jué)得不爽，但是如果你真的想通過(guò)看電影提高英語(yǔ)的話(huà)，你最好還是遵循這3步，否則你要么浪費(fèi)了時(shí)間，要么浪費(fèi)了精力，最終一無(wú)所獲。

　　Step1: Watch soundtrack movie (of course!!) and watch it with the subtitle on at the first time. Your eyes and ears should work equally at this stage. Try to understand the theme and the main idea of the movie.

　　第一步：看有聲電影(囧不是廢話(huà)嘛~)，第一遍的時(shí)候帶著字幕看。這一階段，你的眼睛和耳朵應(yīng)當(dāng)同時(shí)工作。試著理解片子的主題和大意。

　　Step 2: Watch it again, still with subtitle on, but now try to minimize the use of your eyes on the subtitle. Listen as much as possible and look at the subtitle only when you really do not understand. Skip all small detail at the first time and slowly increase the amount of learning by decreasing the number of time you stop the movie.

　　第二步：第二遍看，還是帶著字幕，但是盡量少看字幕。努力用耳朵去聽(tīng)，只是在實(shí)在不懂的時(shí)候再看一眼字幕。剛開(kāi)始的時(shí)候忽略掉聽(tīng)不懂的細(xì)節(jié)，不要一遇到聽(tīng)不懂的就暫停。然后慢慢的多聽(tīng)?zhēng)妆?，試著越?lái)越少的暫停。

　　Step 3: Watch it without subtitle. It sounds tough but believe me, after enough practice at the first two steps, you will find it easier to watch the movie in pure English.

　　第三步：去掉字幕看。這聽(tīng)上去很難但是你要相信，只要你在前兩步練習(xí)的足夠充分，你就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)去掉字幕沒(méi)有想像的那么難。

　　You may need to spend sometime to pass the first two steps. Do not reach the last step to early because it can greatly discourage you. However, if you reach it when you are ready you may never imagined that English is such a piece of cake for you.

　　你應(yīng)該在前兩個(gè)步驟上多花些時(shí)間。不要過(guò)早的進(jìn)入第三個(gè)步驟不然你會(huì)遭受打擊的。但是一旦你達(dá)到了第三步，你就會(huì)出乎意料的發(fā)現(xiàn)原來(lái)英語(yǔ)不過(guò)是小菜一碟!
