Good morning, ladies and gentemen. This is Li Hua from Senior Three. I’m here today to share with you a good lesson from an overseas Chinese student living in Germany. It is a true story.
After years of hard work, this Chinese student graduated with amazing academic achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”
What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times.
From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy.

In my opinion all of these phenomena due to three following reasons.First the people in the country which has a enormous population compete with each other more and more firely. Sencond speed is everything .As the fast developing of modern society people who is slack in his studies in a trifling minute would be cruely knocked out of the society .This lead people cheating over the tests which are the only way of checking people's standard.Third the irritating atitude towards the work make the society place much more emphasis on the consequences themselves ,ignoring the arduous and toilsome process we get them.

When it comes to honesty, quite a lot of people believe it is essential to a person’s character and success.
當(dāng)談到誠實(shí)，很多人相信這對(duì)于一個(gè)人的性格和成功來說是很重要的。
They base their idea on the following reasons: on one hand, successful business owes much to mutual trust; on another hand, great people in history such as Abraham Lincoln andGeorge Washington set us good examples of being honest, they are great because they are honest.
他們立足于他們的想法的理由如下：一方面，商業(yè)上的成功，有賴于相互信任;另一方面，在歷史上如亞伯拉罕林肯和喬治華盛頓這樣的偉人給我們樹立了誠實(shí)的好例子，他們之所以偉大是因?yàn)樗麄兪钦\實(shí)的。
But some people think differently. They believe honesty is becoming out of date.
但有些人有不同的看法。他們相信誠實(shí)已經(jīng)過時(shí)了。
Their reasons run as following: to begin with, cheating on exams is becoming more and more popular; in addition, some singers and movie stars cheat on taxes; last but not the least, if you are not careful enough, you’ll buy some defective goods and fake products.
他們的原因如下：首先，考試作弊是越來越受歡迎;此外，一些歌星和影星騙稅款;最后但并非最不重要的，如果你不小心的話，你會(huì)買到一些有缺陷的產(chǎn)品或假冒產(chǎn)品。
It is high time we emphasized and encouraged honesty. We can take effective measures to restore it.
我們是時(shí)候該強(qiáng)調(diào)并鼓勵(lì)誠實(shí)了。我們可以采取有效措施來恢復(fù)它。
For example, kids should be taught to tell truth, strict rules and regulations should be carried out to stop cheatings on exams and taxes, etc.
例如，應(yīng)該教孩子們誠實(shí)，嚴(yán)格的規(guī)章制度應(yīng)實(shí)施進(jìn)行來阻止在考試和稅收方面的欺詐等。
