the roots of my strong interest in business can be traced back to my childhood. my father was among the first of china’s new breed of modern entrepreneurs. as a young girl, it was inspirational hearing about his business ventures, and meeting the varied and interesting circle of entrepreneurs. my mother was also involved in business as an accountant, helping him with simple calculations. and so it was early in my life that i hoped i, also, would someday be able to enter the realm of business.

as a high school student in china, i had to concentrate on the college entrance examination (cee), even so, books not related to the exams were never excluded from my life. unfortunately when sitting in the exam in june, __, i was so nervous that i didn’t score well in the cee exam. i enrolled in the department of computer science in zhejiang college of traditional chinese medicine. any attempt to persuade myself to focus on my major turned out to be a failure at the beginning of my college life. after several terms, i realized that i would never be interested in being a programmer or an engineer. at that moment, i lost my direction and objectives.

其實(shí)，申請(qǐng)人為什么不“換位思考”，看看錄取委員會(huì)想要什么呢？如果自己是錄取委員會(huì)的一員，期待著學(xué)生的文書(shū)是什么樣子？到底是一個(gè)寬泛的自述，還是針對(duì)專業(yè)的一個(gè)有針對(duì)性的個(gè)人表達(dá)？其實(shí)，個(gè)人陳述就是一個(gè)圍繞專業(yè)的表達(dá)，錄取委員會(huì)感興趣的就是和專業(yè)有關(guān)的內(nèi)容，至于其他的內(nèi)容并不是他們所關(guān)心的。一個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)算機(jī)的學(xué)生，他的計(jì)算能力和編程經(jīng)驗(yàn)，錄取委員會(huì)會(huì)非常感興趣，至于他參加抗洪救災(zāi)沒(méi)有，除非是他參與了抗洪救災(zāi)的計(jì)算機(jī)程序設(shè)計(jì)，錄取委員就不會(huì)太感冒了。故此，個(gè)人陳述的整體布局要以錄取委員會(huì)的喜好作為基礎(chǔ)，錄取委員會(huì)希望看什么，就寫(xiě)什么，如果沒(méi)有興趣的，就不要花任何力氣去寫(xiě)了，這一點(diǎn)來(lái)說(shuō)非常重要。

一、新西蘭碩士申請(qǐng)時(shí)間
新西蘭研究生申請(qǐng)時(shí)間并不固定，它每年有2次開(kāi)學(xué)，分別為2月、7月，具體時(shí)間建議學(xué)生向?qū)W校咨詢，由于其中涉及到諸多的內(nèi)容，因此學(xué)生至少要提前半年開(kāi)始申請(qǐng)，做好留學(xué)規(guī)劃，這里若是打算2月入學(xué)，可以在上一年8月—10月就準(zhǔn)備好畢業(yè)證、在校成績(jī)單等材料。
二、新西蘭碩士申請(qǐng)流程
1、查詢學(xué)校資料：可以通過(guò)各種途徑如寫(xiě)信或上網(wǎng)來(lái)查詢學(xué)校的資料。
2、提出書(shū)面申請(qǐng)：校寫(xiě)信向自己選擇的學(xué)校索要入學(xué)簡(jiǎn)章、入學(xué)申請(qǐng)表、新西蘭留學(xué)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)表等各種入學(xué)材料。
3、填寫(xiě)申請(qǐng)表：填寫(xiě)前，要先仔細(xì)閱讀說(shuō)明，以免遺漏某些重要內(nèi)容；填寫(xiě)申請(qǐng)表要整齊清楚，每個(gè)問(wèn)題要盡量回答完整。

部分碩士學(xué)位課程可直接申請(qǐng)
新西蘭大部分碩士學(xué)位課程都不接受中國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)本科生直接申請(qǐng)，但是還是有部分碩士學(xué)位課程可直接申請(qǐng)。如奧克蘭理工大學(xué)與惠靈頓維多利亞大學(xué)的會(huì)計(jì)專業(yè)，以及梅西大學(xué)的管理學(xué)專業(yè)等。新西蘭碩士課程一般要求雅思6。5，部分專業(yè)雅思要求更高（如教育、護(hù)理、傳媒等）。
申請(qǐng)新西蘭留學(xué)讀研可以跨專業(yè)
如果同學(xué)們換一個(gè)專業(yè)讀研，那么選擇新西蘭會(huì)是個(gè)不錯(cuò)的方式。針對(duì)跨專業(yè)申請(qǐng)碩士的學(xué)生，新西蘭大學(xué)一般要求學(xué)生先讀1年的學(xué)士后文憑課程（GD）。
新西蘭碩士學(xué)位課程即Master學(xué)位
由于新西蘭的碩士課程大都屬于研究類，入讀要求很高，因此一般不接受國(guó)內(nèi)本科生直接申請(qǐng)。因此國(guó)內(nèi)本科學(xué)生需要先讀1年的學(xué)士后文憑課程（GD）或研究生文憑課程（PD），接下來(lái)再讀1年的Master學(xué)位課程。
讀完1年的GD或者PD課程之后可開(kāi)始工作
絕大部分新西蘭留學(xué)生在上完1年的GD或PD課程之后會(huì)開(kāi)始工作，還能申請(qǐng)到1—3年的工作簽證。期間只要同學(xué)們找到符合專業(yè)的工作，并與雇主簽訂1年以上的勞動(dòng)合同就能申請(qǐng)一般技術(shù)移民。工作后如果還需要繼續(xù)提高知識(shí)和能力，可選擇繼續(xù)攻讀碩士學(xué)位課程（Master）。
申請(qǐng)新西蘭留學(xué)讀研必須要提前準(zhǔn)備

四、新西蘭碩士類型
新西蘭碩士預(yù)科課程
研究生預(yù)科文憑（Graduate Diploma）：新西蘭留學(xué)讀研選擇此類型即學(xué)士后文憑，一年的全日制課程，主要針對(duì)已取得學(xué)士學(xué)位之大學(xué)畢業(yè)生而設(shè)置的，修讀其所選專業(yè)在新西蘭大學(xué)里才有設(shè)置、在中國(guó)沒(méi)有修讀過(guò)的的部分本科課程，該文憑與學(xué)士學(xué)位的就讀領(lǐng)域與專業(yè)并不一定要相同。
新西蘭研究生文憑
研究生文憑（Postgraduate Diploma）：一年的全日制課程，主要針對(duì)已取得學(xué)士學(xué)位之大學(xué)畢業(yè)生設(shè)計(jì)的，該文憑與學(xué)士學(xué)位的就讀領(lǐng)域或?qū)I(yè)一定要相同，修讀課程相當(dāng)于新西蘭碩士課程第一年。
新西蘭碩士學(xué)位
碩士學(xué)位（Master）：此類主要針對(duì)已取得學(xué)士學(xué)位之大學(xué)畢業(yè)生設(shè)計(jì)的，第一年是研究生文憑（Postgraduate Diploma），第二年是碩士（Master Degree）。對(duì)于本科欲轉(zhuǎn)專業(yè)的申請(qǐng)人而言如果在新西蘭留學(xué)生活完成碩士學(xué)位可能時(shí)間要三年之久。
