1、學歷：申請大學本科課程者，學歷至少是高中畢業(yè);而申請碩士課程者，則必須是本科畢業(yè)，擁有學士學位。除了學歷達到要求之外，在申請學校和專業(yè)的時候，還要考慮個人的專業(yè)背景、工作經(jīng)歷及興趣等是否符合對方的要求。
2、語言：各個留學國家對語言都有要求，英國留學等英聯(lián)邦國家主要是看雅思的成績，一般需要申請者雅思達到6.0以上。而北美地區(qū)的話，是以托福為標準的，一般申請者的托福成績要達到90分以上。一些不以英語為考核的國家會有不同的語言要求，比如日本、德國、法國。當然，不同的學校和專業(yè)也會對語言有不同的要求，請大家多關注各大院校當年的招生簡章。

申請出國留學的流程及步驟
第一步：制訂留學規(guī)劃。
成功的留學一定是需要提前規(guī)劃的。所謂成功的留學，大家的理解不一定完全相同，至少包括兩個方面：一是順利地申請到國外院校的錄取并獲得簽證前往理想的國家和院校就讀;二是真正能夠達到留學的目的，包括外語能力的極大提高、獲得了遠遠優(yōu)于在國內(nèi)學習所能獲得專業(yè)學術水平、思考和處事的能力、國際化的事業(yè)、更多更優(yōu)的就業(yè)或者創(chuàng)業(yè)機會等等。
第二步：篩選留學信息。
在當今互聯(lián)網(wǎng)時代，人們獲得信息變得更加便利，但是篩選信息的難度卻越來越大。從目前來看，學生和家長獲得留學信息的渠道包括：參觀教育展、咨詢留學中介機構、逛網(wǎng)絡論壇、向親朋好友打聽等。需要注意的是，無論是教育展還是通過留學中介獲得信息，都必須要有質(zhì)疑的精神，不可偏聽偏信。筆者曾經(jīng)在網(wǎng)上看到一篇文章談到高中學生赴美留學的幾種途徑，發(fā)現(xiàn)這是某留學中介發(fā)布的，內(nèi)容其實就是他們自己的幾個留學項目的總結而并非真正符合教育制度和大學普遍錄取要求的途徑。這種把個別情況當作普遍規(guī)律的事情，學生和家長要避而遠之。
第三步：參加必要的考試。
通常情況下，出國留學申請是需要考試的。那些不需要任何考試的所謂留學項目，我們都有理由質(zhì)疑，因為很多掉入留學陷阱的學生都遇到過這樣的“好事”——無需考試即可錄取。
無論參加那種留學考試，我們都建議提前準備并規(guī)劃2次左右的考試以獲得盡可能理想的成績?？荚嚂r間安排方面盡可能提前，最好在提交入學申請的時候有一個滿意的成績。即使是要申請雙錄取，自己也不要放松對于考試的要求，因為一個接近院校入學要求的成績更加有利于獲得“雙錄取”，也可以節(jié)省學習語言的時間，對于申請簽證也是有利的。
第四步：準備好相關的申請文件并在截止日期前完成申請。
按照國外院校的要求，申請文件一定要完整但是不必太累贅，因為太多與申請錄取無關的文件，院校是根本不看的。準備申請文件的原則就是：要求有的必須有，盡可能在有限的材料里體現(xiàn)真實的自己，讓學校覺得你是如此地與眾不同但是正好就是他們需要的學生，這是最理想的狀態(tài)。
申請留學所需要的材料一般包括：成績單和學歷證明，外語考試證明(如托福成績等)，推薦信，個人陳述或者簡歷，學習計劃，資金證明等，申請藝術類專業(yè)可能還需要提供相關的作品等等。材料的語言文本除了中文的以外，一般還需要翻譯成留學目標國的官方語言(或英語)。

Currently, I am a junior student in International College of Hubei Normal University majoring in Accounting. Thus, I have obtained great knowledge about business for the past three years. Depending on that, I have determined to pursue a Bachelor degree at your distinguished university. To be honesty, I am an average student but I have diligent and strong confident heart. I believe that a good attitude can change bad situation. So I am always keeping a positive attitude on my life. I never ever give up any chance of promoting my study. During my three years in Hubei Normal University，I never fail a class and always do my best for assignment. However，in my mind, social activity is as the same important as class study. In my spare time, I took part in student union and took charge of minister in arts department. Our well-organized activities attracted many students to practice themselves. Last summer, I joined the Work and Travel Programme to be a staff in an American company for three months. I made good use of that chance to improve my oral English and tasted western culture. I think I can understand and adapt to a foreign culture in a short period.
I firmly believe that anyone could acquire success by their right way and fighting. This is one of the reasons why I want to go abroad. What’s more, I want to taste and accept some western education.
