In everyday life, people take for granted that some people are good at things and some people are not. But I have always believed that human beings are capable of far more than they realise. It is this interest in human potential that motivates me to want to work as an Educational Psychologist.
I have always had an interest in the human mind, but never considered working in this field. However, personal experience of ADHD and autism led me to volunteer at an autistic unit in a local primary school, which I have now been at for almost two years. Whilst there, I realised that my interest in the Autistic Spectrum and ADHD was more than a passing curiosity. My experience at the school provided me with a deeper understanding of these conditions, and, combined with my interests in educational psychology and technologies such as entrainment and biofeedback, led me to consider the potential application of these to assist such children in reaching their full potential. One day I returned home with a sense of exhiliration, and realised that helping autistic children was something that I wanted to pursue as a professional psychologist.
I have also worked voluntarily as a teaching assistant at a local college. My duties included creating certificates, writing course manuals, and supervised teaching. In addition, I was comissioned by the charity DYCF to teach relaxation techniques to "difficult teens" as part of a remedial programme, and wrote a report of recommendation. This demonstrates that I am able to empathise and interact with a variety of people in a range of educational settings, as well as cope with a high workload.
I spent some time researching careers in psychology and it was quite clear that Educational Psychology was the route for me. Although I had studied Counselling Skills in --- and DD100: Introduction to the Social Sciences previously with the Open University, it was of course a case of preparing myself for Higher Education. So in 2008 I enrolled on DSE212: Exploring Psychology, with the Open University. My overall assesment score on DD100 had been 81, but of course it has been a while since my last formal academic study. Hence I was pleased to receive my first essay back from the Open University ----, scored at 83, giving much promise for my future studies.
At the same time, however, I have worked hard to overcome my difficulty with mathematics. So I enrolled on GCSE Mathematics: Foundation. I recently used accelerated learning protocols such as mnemonics and entrainment to learn my timestables in just under two weeks, and have also enrolled on a second course for extra help. Because of this, I am now confident of achieving a grade C in Mathematics, and believe that this demonstrates my committed and creative approach to learning, as well as my practical application of psychological research.
I read psychological articles and reports in New Scientist, Scientific American, and Psychology Today. I also keep up to date by researching psychology online, and have a particular interest in the research of the HeartMath and Monroe Institutes, and the application of their research and technology within education and therapy. My latest read has been Human Givens: a new approach to emotional health and clear thinking, by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell (2004).
Having a keen analytical mind as well as a deep empathy for working with children, I look forward to continuing my study of Psychology. My ultimate aim is to apply psychological techniques to help the autistic and ADHD populations achieve their full potential, and hopefully add to and expand the current theoretical understanding of these conditions.

現(xiàn)在是一個(gè)信息化的時(shí)代,在網(wǎng)絡(luò)上面基本上能夠解決你的所有問(wèn)題,不管網(wǎng)絡(luò)上的信息也太繁雜了,要注意甄別。
4.兼職廣告
在學(xué)校的布告欄一般都會(huì)有一些兼職信息發(fā)布,那也是一個(gè)不錯(cuò)的渠道。
不過(guò)話(huà)說(shuō)回來(lái),不管你在哪個(gè)國(guó)家留學(xué),打工也只是在課余時(shí)間比較多的時(shí)候進(jìn)行,如果打工影響了考試成績(jī)或者該國(guó)的相關(guān)規(guī)定,都會(huì)對(duì)你的簽證和將來(lái)的學(xué)習(xí)生活帶來(lái)很多不良影響,畢竟我們的主要任務(wù)還是去學(xué)習(xí)的,小伙伴們要分清主次調(diào)整自己的時(shí)間。如果有想要工作的想法,可以去相關(guān)的工作網(wǎng)站找一些兼職,或者是在校內(nèi)尋找一些工作機(jī)會(huì),要跟雇主簽好相關(guān)合同保障自己的權(quán)益,可以咨詢(xún)學(xué)校相關(guān)規(guī)定,避免日后的分歧和麻煩。
泰國(guó)留學(xué)生活經(jīng)驗(yàn)分享
1、環(huán)境安全
大家首先要了解,泰國(guó)是熱帶的國(guó)家,全年的溫度都是比較炎熱而且濕潤(rùn)的,不用擔(dān)心感冒但是要注意水土不服,而且還要了解蚊蟲(chóng)的問(wèn)題,要擔(dān)心的叮咬之后可能會(huì)產(chǎn)生的問(wèn)題。
安全的問(wèn)題同樣需要需要關(guān)注,雖然泰國(guó)的宗教信仰非常的濃厚,對(duì)于社會(huì)的約束會(huì)比較強(qiáng),但是大家一定要保證自己不會(huì)觸犯到宗教的規(guī)則,這樣才可以保證自己的人身安全。
2、新生學(xué)習(xí)
入學(xué)的第一周是非常重要的適應(yīng)期,要盡快的將自己的狀態(tài)調(diào)整好,把握住自我介紹的機(jī)會(huì),拉近與同學(xué)的距離,這樣能夠幫助你結(jié)交更多的朋友,并且感受到學(xué)習(xí)的氛圍。
還需要了解學(xué)習(xí)的考核內(nèi)容,除了考試之外,還有出勤、作業(yè)和活動(dòng)的內(nèi)容;入學(xué)之初可能會(huì)因?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)言的為導(dǎo)致跟不上正常的進(jìn)度,但是勤能補(bǔ)拙,只有這樣才可以減少自己的時(shí)間浪費(fèi)。
3、消費(fèi)水平
泰國(guó)的社會(huì)物價(jià)不算高,即便是曼谷也很合適,不過(guò)大家在進(jìn)行消費(fèi)的時(shí)候,還是需要進(jìn)行克制的,不能夠隨便亂花錢(qián),不然的話(huà)月底就只能夠吃饅頭啃咸菜了。
泰銖和人民幣的匯率不算穩(wěn)定,尤其是大家在匯率不太理想的時(shí)候購(gòu)物會(huì)產(chǎn)生比較大的損失,建議大家養(yǎng)成平時(shí)記賬的好習(xí)慣,并且做好預(yù)算,會(huì)更合適。
4、調(diào)整適應(yīng)
大家在學(xué)習(xí)的時(shí)候,會(huì)遇到不同的人,和不同國(guó)家的留學(xué)生做朋友,這里面肯定會(huì)發(fā)生一些文化上的摩擦,這時(shí)候如果不是涉及到原則性的問(wèn)題,都可以進(jìn)行妥協(xié),這樣能夠更加友好的相處。
而當(dāng)年將新天泰擺正了不再鉆牛角尖的時(shí)候,自然可以和周?chē)娜擞押玫倪M(jìn)行相處,能夠獲得更多的人的尊重,從而成為別人嘴里那個(gè)很優(yōu)秀的人。
