I believe that university offers an excellent opportunity to further my learning in a more challenging environment and to deepen my understanding of the knowledge and skills I already have.
I am keen on all aspects of business, but am particularly interested in accountancy/finance and management.
Through my current study I have learned to be more computer literate and how to effectively manage my time. I became interested in accountancy when studying the finance unit in business studies and I am now completing an As level in this subject as I felt this would give me a sound footing when starting my university course
I gained an As level in sociology which has sharpened my ability to analyse information in depth, which is vital for management. Sociology has also helped me appreciate people’s different needs in society, which I see as an important feature in business
One responsibility that I held for a year was the role of the middle school prefect. This helped me to gain an insight into typical basic management responsibilities. In Year 13 I then became a senior prefect and our role within the school is to help out with such activities as fund raising and the school fate
Taking part in the Young Enterprise scheme taught me many skills; how to work independently and with a team which was one of the keys to our company’s success as “best company”
I attended a young enterprise presentation day where we were privileged to listen to guests speaking about becoming an entrepreneur. This brief course inspired me with a wish to one day own my own business. I feel that an accountancy/finance and management course will help me to place myself in the sector in which I am most interested and give me the aspiration to eventually achieve this
In the sixth form work experience is optional but I believed I would gain great benefit from such a placement. I was fortunate to get a two-week placement in Lloyds TSB bank in Nottingham. I was given a great deal of responsibility; my time was divided into various departments such as the customer service department, finance department, balancing accounts with the cashiers. As a result of my success with Lloyds TSB the manager offered me full time employment with training should I decide to take that route
I held a part time job for 2 1/2 years in which I worked as a counter assistant in a busy restaurant in my local town. From this I learned many skills such as working in a fast busy environment, handling money and a great deal of customer service and teamwork
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends and family. I enjoy reading and one of my favourite authors is Terry Pratchet. I enjoy music and I listen to many different styles. I am particularly interested in IT and much of my time is spent researching on the web
From my experiences and personal ambition I am confident that I have the necessary self-motivation and commitment to succeed in accountancy finance and management and I look forward to taking advantage of all the opportunities that university life has to offer.

免雅思澳大利亞留學(xué)方法
一、英語母語國家的學(xué)生
澳洲屬于英聯(lián)邦國家，國內(nèi)的通用語是英語，生活各方面的交流語言和學(xué)校的授課語言，都是英語，所以要想進(jìn)入澳洲讀書，必須要能夠熟練的掌握英語。
所以，如果申請(qǐng)者是來自以英語為母語的國家，從小接觸的就是英語，天天說的也是英語，那么你的英語水平肯定是相當(dāng)不錯(cuò)的，自然不需要再參加雅思考試。
這些國家的學(xué)生，只要出示自己的護(hù)照，證明自己是屬于英語母語國家的人，就可以直接申請(qǐng)豁免語言。
二、在英語國家讀滿兩年的學(xué)生
而對(duì)于一些非英語母語國家的學(xué)生來說，也是有捷徑可以走的，你可以選擇先去英語母語國家的學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)語言或者進(jìn)行求學(xué)，這樣再申請(qǐng)澳洲留學(xué)的時(shí)候，就不需要出示英語成績。
全球有不少這樣充當(dāng)跳板的國家，例如新加坡等東南亞國家，這些國家的錄取要求會(huì)比較低，申請(qǐng)起來會(huì)比較容易，而且還能夠提前將語言學(xué)好，一舉多得。
三、在澳洲讀滿兩年的學(xué)生
此外，還可以選擇提前去澳洲，讀語言或者讀預(yù)科，還可以在高中階段就出國，先感受澳洲的日常生活，順便也學(xué)習(xí)語言，這樣在申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候也比其他的留學(xué)生更有優(yōu)勢。
時(shí)限都是兩年，兩年之后可以直接以澳洲學(xué)生的身份進(jìn)行院校的申請(qǐng)，當(dāng)然，必須要能夠提供在澳洲學(xué)習(xí)的相關(guān)證明和證書。
其實(shí)不管以上三種方法中的哪一種，可豁免的學(xué)生雖然不用提交語言證書，但是實(shí)際上嗎，英語水平都是比較高的，在未來的入學(xué)不會(huì)受到語言的阻礙。
澳大利亞留學(xué)勤工儉學(xué)指南
一、工作資格
想要在澳洲進(jìn)行合法的兼職工作，需要等到大家的正式學(xué)習(xí)開始之后才可以進(jìn)行申請(qǐng)，即擁有學(xué)生身份，才能夠開始工作，而且只有在全日制的高校中留學(xué)的學(xué)生才有資格。
還需要去相關(guān)機(jī)構(gòu)獲取自己的工作許可，需要帶上學(xué)生身份的證明，以及本人的護(hù)照，前往填表提交申請(qǐng)，由工作人員進(jìn)行審核，確認(rèn)資格合格之后才會(huì)發(fā)放許可證，之后才可以開始求職。
二、時(shí)間限制
政府為了保證學(xué)生有足夠的時(shí)間放在學(xué)習(xí)上，對(duì)學(xué)生每周兼職的時(shí)間進(jìn)行了嚴(yán)格的限制，在學(xué)習(xí)期間，每周最長可以工作20個(gè)小時(shí)，包括沒有薪資的志愿工作，不過在假期就沒有限制了。
一旦發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生打黑工或者超時(shí)工作，嚴(yán)格的話會(huì)直接取消簽證，大家會(huì)被遣返回國，這樣會(huì)影響正常的留學(xué)安排，所以大家一定要做好好自己學(xué)習(xí)和工作的時(shí)間平衡。
三、薪資收入
兼職的學(xué)生會(huì)受到最低薪資的保障，根據(jù)不同城市的發(fā)展情況，每小時(shí)的最低收入在15-25澳元，如果簽合同的時(shí)候發(fā)現(xiàn)薪資過低，或者發(fā)工資的時(shí)候薪資不夠的話，是可以進(jìn)行投訴的。
此外大家每一筆收入都需要按照標(biāo)準(zhǔn)進(jìn)行繳稅，這就要求大家在正式工作之前，先去辦好稅卡，然后再每年七月左右的時(shí)候，去進(jìn)行報(bào)稅，這樣后續(xù)申請(qǐng)退稅，會(huì)更加方便一些。
四、常見兼職
包括兩大類，是比較不耽誤大家的時(shí)間，專業(yè)性又不太強(qiáng)的工作，而且需求量一直很大，工作也不算很辛苦，但是工資收入還不錯(cuò)，是大部分留學(xué)生的選擇。
一個(gè)就是服務(wù)行業(yè)，在商店、餐館、加油站等地方工作，基本的工資不高，但是有機(jī)會(huì)拿小費(fèi);另一個(gè)就是語言相關(guān)的翻譯、導(dǎo)游、家教等工作，薪資高而且時(shí)間自由。
