I understand that --- is applying for admission to your Postgraduate Master’s Program, and has requested that I write this letter of recommendation for her.
I have known -- as a resourceful and goal-oriented individual ever since she attended my Instrumental Analysis course(score:84) in her fourth academic semester. She often raised thought-provoking questions during the course lectures. Thus,it is natural that I like discussing with this young girl and enjoy becoming more familiar with her and her aspirations. In her sixth academic semester, she took my course of Electrochemical Analysis(score:89).The more I get to know her, the more I find she is talented at chemistry. With her outstanding talent and solid background in chemistry, she also did quite well in most of her other courses during her undergraduate study. 美國(guó)留學(xué)注意事項(xiàng)
1.三封推薦信風(fēng)格、排版、格式、抬頭不同。如,系主任的推薦信使用院系抬頭的信紙,老板的推薦信使用實(shí)驗(yàn)室抬頭的信紙;
2.使用不同的字體,如Times、Arial;以及段落格式不同,行間距不同,段間距不同等。
3.美國(guó)轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)推薦信不需要寫(xiě)得非常完美,寫(xiě)成這樣反而讓學(xué)校懷疑推薦信的真實(shí)性,因?yàn)?,中?guó)老師的英文一般都不怎么好的。
4.找老師簽名之前把推薦表要把可以填的先填好(使用Adobe Acrobat 7.0/8.0 Professional軟件即可),如老師的職位、聯(lián)系方式等。打勾的地方不要用電腦打好,可以叫老師打,或者自己打,如果老師批準(zhǔn)的話。推薦表和推薦 信上都要簽名、簽日期。(日期也可以用電腦事先簽好。)
5.去找老師簽名之前還要預(yù)先在信封上用鉛筆標(biāo)注學(xué)校,因?yàn)橛械睦蠋煼浅?yán)格,會(huì)要求學(xué)校當(dāng)場(chǎng)把推薦信封裝起來(lái),如果不在信封上標(biāo)注學(xué)校的話,回來(lái)之后可能根本不知道哪個(gè)信封里的推薦信是要寄給哪個(gè)學(xué)校的。
6.一張推薦表配一封推薦信,裝在同一個(gè)信封里,信封騎縫簽名。一般使用雙面膠封口。

完整的推薦信內(nèi)容
(1) 申請(qǐng)者的學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)或特質(zhì),是否具有領(lǐng)導(dǎo)才能,是否具有很強(qiáng)的分析能力等。在這一點(diǎn)上要注意適度,不能因?yàn)橹t虛對(duì)優(yōu)點(diǎn)加以掩蓋,也不能夸夸其談過(guò)高的估計(jì)申請(qǐng)者。
(2) 充分挖掘申請(qǐng)者自身的特殊之處,例如有很強(qiáng)的溝通能力,或者是擅長(zhǎng)某種語(yǔ)言等。
(3) 就你所了解的范圍而言,該申請(qǐng)者有什么比較重要的成績(jī)或是成就,學(xué)業(yè)上的或是其他方面的。
(4) 該申請(qǐng)者是否有何弱項(xiàng),例如之前有過(guò)某些方面的挫折,但是從這個(gè)失敗的經(jīng)歷中獲得了什么經(jīng)驗(yàn)教訓(xùn)等。
(5) 對(duì)申請(qǐng)者未來(lái)潛力的描述,即解釋推薦人愿意對(duì)該申請(qǐng)者做出推薦的`原因,以及一旦該申請(qǐng)者獲得到該校繼續(xù)深造的機(jī)會(huì)會(huì)有什么發(fā)展等。
接下來(lái)就可以正式動(dòng)筆了,不同的學(xué)校對(duì)推薦信的要求可能會(huì)略有不同,但是基本上一封結(jié)構(gòu)清晰明確內(nèi)容翔實(shí)的推薦信都應(yīng)該由以下幾個(gè)部分組成:
(1) 介紹部份。首先應(yīng)該清楚明確的介紹推薦人的情況,工作單位、職位、與被推薦人的關(guān)系以及與被推薦人相處的時(shí)間長(zhǎng)短等。在這一部份也可以給被推薦人一個(gè)總體的評(píng)價(jià)。
(2) 主體部分。重點(diǎn)講述被推薦人一至兩個(gè)優(yōu)秀品質(zhì),并且用有力的事實(shí)證明加以輔佐。要注意掌握對(duì)具體事例的選擇,這不是簡(jiǎn)單的把申請(qǐng)者簡(jiǎn)歷上的經(jīng)歷等內(nèi)容進(jìn)行一個(gè)拼湊,而是要要舉出幾個(gè)最有代表性的能夠充分體現(xiàn)申請(qǐng)人人格魅力的例子。
(3) 結(jié)論部份。解釋為什么申請(qǐng)人的申請(qǐng)計(jì)劃是適合他本人的,并且說(shuō)明你認(rèn)為該申請(qǐng)人在未來(lái)會(huì)對(duì)這個(gè)被申請(qǐng)的學(xué)校做出什么樣的貢獻(xiàn)。最后可以再次強(qiáng)調(diào)你對(duì)推薦該申請(qǐng)者充滿信心,為能夠推薦他到更好的院校進(jìn)行深造感到十分自豪,同時(shí)表示學(xué)校在審核材料的過(guò)程中可以隨時(shí)聯(lián)系你,不要忘記附上你的聯(lián)系方式。
