用簡單的英文介紹事物，美國人和美國人交談80%是想告訴對方這個事物是什么。我們的課本盡管詞匯難度不斷加深，但思維邏輯結(jié)構(gòu)卻只停留在一個水平上。中國人常說Where is the book(這本書在哪兒)?很少有人說What is a book(書是什么)?而美國的小學(xué)生就開始問：What is the book?這種Where is the book只是思維的描述階段。但是我想連大學(xué)生也很難回答What is a book?因為中國傳統(tǒng)英語教學(xué)模式?jīng)]有教會學(xué)生表達(dá)思想的技巧。
技巧二、
同種事物不同的表達(dá)方式，如果已經(jīng)學(xué)會界定，但理解還有偏差，那就要訓(xùn)練How to explain things in different ways。一種表達(dá)方式對方不懂，美國人會尋找另一種表達(dá)方式最終讓對方明白。因為事物就一個，但表達(dá)它的語言符號可能會很多。這就要多做替換練習(xí)。傳統(tǒng)的教學(xué)方法也做替換練習(xí)，但這種替換不是真替換，只是語言層面的替換，而不是思維層面的替換。比如，I love you(我愛你)。按我們教學(xué)的替換方法就把you換成her，my mother等，這種替換和小學(xué)生練描紅沒有什么區(qū)別。這種替換沒有對智力構(gòu)成挑戰(zhàn)，沒有啟動思維。這種替換句子的基本結(jié)構(gòu)沒變，我聽不懂I love you，肯定也聽不懂I love her。如果替換為I want to kiss you，I want to hug you，I will show my heart to you等，或者給對方講電影《泰坦尼克》，告訴對方那就是愛，這樣一來對方可能就明白了。這才叫真正的替換。也就是說用一種不同的方式表達(dá)同一個意思，或者一個表達(dá)式對方聽不清楚，舉一個簡單易懂的例子來表達(dá)，直到對方明白。
技巧三、
要有猜測能力，為什么美國人和美國人、中國人和中國人之間交流很少產(chǎn)生歧義?就是因為他們之間能“猜測”。雅托邦教學(xué)不提倡“猜測”，但小編覺得猜測對學(xué)好美國口語很重要。在交流中，有一個詞你沒有聽懂，你不可能馬上去查字典，這時候就需要猜測來架起一座橋梁來彌補這個缺口，否則交流就會中斷。中國人學(xué)習(xí)口語講究背誦，背句型、背語調(diào)，結(jié)果就是很多人講口語的時候講著講著眼就開始向上翻，實際上是在記憶中尋找曾經(jīng)背過的東西。如果他要是能猜測的話，我想也就不會出現(xiàn)這種現(xiàn)象。

在考試時事先在頭腦中形成類似于寫作一樣的大致的邏輯框架，對開頭(提出論點)，中間(發(fā)展論點)，結(jié)尾(總結(jié)或辨析)進(jìn)行規(guī)劃，所以考生只要應(yīng)用了邏輯的開頭，以此來陳述立場，進(jìn)而發(fā)展論點，就會讓考官形成思想認(rèn)同，覺得你這個人邏輯思維到位，從而取得高分。

很多考生以為說得快就是英語流利的體現(xiàn)，結(jié)果發(fā)音含混不清，很多考官重點考察的發(fā)音不到位，而在詞語運用上過于簡單，信息含量低，這是不會有高分的，所以一定要注意語音和語法，考生在陳述過程中要有豐富的抑揚頓挫的語調(diào)，對于語句重音、語調(diào)方式及停頓等，要掌握得自然飄逸，并注意口語的修辭化，對一些修辭能恰到好處地進(jìn)行引用。
技巧六、
掌握好答題時間，時間的把控是非常嚴(yán)格的，不管你說沒說完，時間一到，錄音結(jié)束，很多考生面對計算機，不自覺就會出現(xiàn)很多口頭禪，有英文的：well，you know 等或者毫無意義的“啊、嗯”的音節(jié)，更有甚者，將自己的中文口頭禪也說出來，這些無意義的詞語出現(xiàn)在只有45秒的口語答案中，是很具有殺傷力的。
