Task 1.
A friend of yours is going to study at 另一個學(xué)校 and he's worried that he won't be able to 交到朋友there. What 建議 would you give him and why?
Personally, I would suggest him join all kinds of social activities, for example, like volunteer activities, fundraising, and going on field trip organized by the school. Also, he should join clubs, like sports club, poem club, debating club, and even martial art club. In this way, he can interact with the club members. If he is lucky, he might come across someone who is from the same place of him or her. Additionally, he or she might find someone who have the same hobby, you know, one has so much to talk about when meeting someone who have the same hobby.
Task 2
一些人 prefer to read 紙質(zhì)書籍, others like to read 電子書 on computers or other devices. Which do you think is better and why?
Well, personally I prefer to read paper books. I am the kind of person who like to highlight, like underlining the important parts when I am reading a book, and I am used to write some thoughts on the side of the page. However, if I chose to read e-books, I might not be able to take notes conveniently. Additionally, some electronic devices for books are very difficult to operate, the control pad or the buttons are too small to press on, thus sometimes it is very hard to get it function right, and that is very annoying, cuz it costs you lots of time.

Task 1.
Suppose you have a historic assignment to 介紹 an ancient 建筑, which of the following ways would you like to do the assignment?
1. Making a video 2. Interviewing the seniors 3. Writing a paper
Personally, I think interviewing the seniors about the ancient building is the best way to finish the assignment. First off, the ancient building is more than just a building, actually it reflects the culture and history of the city. It has great implication. Seniors have lived in this city for decades, and they know historic events that the ancient building had gone through. However, just making a video can only showcase the outlook of the building, it cannot shed light on the cultural and historic side of the building. Writing paper can be the worst to finish this assignment since it is very abstract, making it difficult for people to know the building.
Task 2.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: 課上討論 should be a part of the students' final grade.
Well, I think class discussion should be a big part of one's final grade. First off, class discussion is a very efficient way to learn. Different group members can offer some incisive approach to understand the material better. By working together in a group, students can broaden their horizons and have new perspective about the subject matter. Additionally, it also helps to learn other subject like sociology and psychology and stuff. Cuz, through discussion students can share their personal experience to shed some light on the stuff they are learning, thus students can understand some psychological concepts better.

Task 1.
當你和你的朋友 have disagreement, what would you do to solve the disagreement. Please include細節(jié)and 例子 in your explanation.
Well, actually, people argue with each other about random and trivial stuff, like what food to eat, which move to watch, stuff like that. I usually use my emotional intelligence to analyze the situation, understand the real cause of the disagreement, thus, solve the conflict accordingly. For example, I once argued about which movie to watch, and I wanted to watch action movie, however, my friend preferred comedy. After that, I get angry and really annoyed, but later, I realized the real cause of my anger was not about which movie to watch, and the real cause was that I had lots assignment due next week, and I couldn't stand that pressure, so I apologized to my friend, and we are still friends now.
Task 2.
Between the following two places, where would you 選擇居住?
1. big and new place but 遠離 your workplace and/or university 2. small and old place but near your 工作地點 and/or university
Personally, I'd like to live in a bigger place that is far away from my workplace. Actually, a bigger place far away from my workplace is more likely to be in the suburb than otherwise, and I am the kind of person who like peace and tranquility. I want to get away from the noise and pollution, and I hate the hustle and bustle of the city. Working in the downtown areas all day along is boring, and I want to escape from these concrete jungle and live far away. You know since my workplace is located in the downtown areas, I just want to get away from that place and find somewhere that is quiet.

Task 1.
Things always 改變 in an unexpected way. Please describe something you have done recently but you never imagined you would do 10 years ago. Use 事例 and 細節(jié)in your answer.
Well, with the help of modern technology like cell phone, laptop and internet, I do lots of things that I would never do 10 years ago. For instance, I shop on line a lot. With just a click of the button, the next moment you know, your order is delivered right at your door. It is also easy to compare the prices offered by different on-line stores and get a bargain. However, 10 years ago, technology was not so advanced that there were not so many on-line stores where people could shop around and people depended on the traditional way of shopping.
Task 2.
You live in a crowded 城市 with only green space- the city park. 政府 recently proposes to build a housing complex on this only green space. Do you think it is 好主意?
Well, I would say it is a bad idea to build a housing complex on the only green space. Firstly, the trees and flowers in the park can absorb lots of gases, like carbon dioxide, ozone, and stuff like that. Actually, through the process of photosynthesis, trees and flowers can produce oxygen and purify the air. Additionally, trees and flowers provide shade in the summer and through the process of transpiration, a grown tree can provide a cooling effect equivalent to 10 air-conditioner operating 20 hours a day. Lastly, the park is a very nice place for citizens to hang out, it is the very place where people do jogging, have picnics and stuff like that. Without it, the city will be very boring.
