托福雅思寫作難度大比拼
雅思和托福的寫作有一些相似點,但是細(xì)節(jié)又又有許多不同。下面小編給大家比較一下兩者的難度,不管大家考的是雅思還是托福,都要順利通過呀。
雅思寫作與托福寫作難度比較
一、相同點:
1、兩者都是客觀陳述既給信息,不要加入作者的主觀意圖。
雅思task1中要求 “Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.”與新托福integrated task中的“Summarize the points in the listening passage and explain how they relate to specific points in the reading passage.” 如出一轍。兩類習(xí)作都要求作者就題論題而不是借題發(fā)揮。
2、兩者都是在整場作文考試中占小部分成績份額。
換句話說,兩者都是你取得好成績的必要但非充分條件。
3、兩者都相對簡單。
兩者都是可以在一定時間的訓(xùn)練后模版化,從而即便你聽不懂、看不懂文中的信息,仍然是可以有所寫的。
4、兩者對于中國學(xué)生來所都有難度。
前者難在中國學(xué)生很少對數(shù)字進(jìn)行獨立分析,后者難在中國學(xué)生的邊聽邊歸納的能力偏弱。
二、不同點:
1、兩者的呈現(xiàn)形式完全不同。
雅思task1的所有題目都呈現(xiàn)在試卷上,作者只要能看懂題甚至有時候連題目都沒太看懂就能進(jìn)行寫作。與之呈鮮明對比的是,新托福integrated task的題目是以一段聽力lecture和閱讀paragraph的組合來出題的。如果作者想把聽力中的內(nèi)容與閱讀中的內(nèi)容建立有效的關(guān)系,那么就必須聽懂至少是聽力中的要點部分,也就是說新托福的integrated task已不再是單純地考你的寫作能力,還考到了你的聽力。這對于中國學(xué)生來說恐怕是當(dāng)頭一棒,本來寫作就是我們的薄弱項,再加入聽力那可是難上加難啊。
2、兩者的respond方式不同。
前者為參照客觀信息客觀描述信息---多為對數(shù)字、流程等客觀信息的描述,而后者則是參照主觀信息客觀描述兩種完全對立的觀點的聯(lián)系。個人認(rèn)為,后者對于中國學(xué)生來說是比較容易提高的。因為只要你能聽得懂記得下聽力中的3個主要觀點,并記住一兩個例子,那么剩下的工作就是將閱讀中的信息paraphrase一下,與所聽內(nèi)容relate 一下而已。
3、兩者的考查點不同。
雅思的task1 與生活更接近一些,我們經(jīng)常在經(jīng)濟(jì)類雜志或者新聞中聽到模板。比如股市情況通報,產(chǎn)量信息公布,政府正式的年終總結(jié)報告等。而后者則更像是兩個打?qū)悼官惖那蜿?,點點相對,時時相對,你需要的是看懂這場比賽,并以一個中立者的身份總結(jié)這場比賽。雅思小作文的最高境界是讓考官看到作文就能在腦海中勾勒出曲線走勢、表格特點等,而新托福則更注重作者能用一篇習(xí)作讓讀者看到兩種觀點對抗。
4、兩者考查的細(xì)致程度不同。
雅思 task1中更注重細(xì)節(jié)信息的描述,更注重通過數(shù)字做比較,而新托福的integrated task則需要用文字去對比。大家知道,在雅思第一部分中,數(shù)字+專用詞匯(比如表趨勢的詞匯、表順序的詞匯等)就可以搞定作文,但是后者則很少借助固定的詞匯,也就是說隨意性更大一些。兩者考查點不同。
5、兩者的答題時間不同
雅思大小作文只要在60分鐘內(nèi)完成即可,做題順序由考生自己來決定。通常情況下,老師都指導(dǎo)學(xué)生先保住大作文,后寫小作文。也就是說考生有主動權(quán)去做合理的取舍。但是新托福因為是機(jī)考,所以考生很大程度上是computer-controlled, 包括時間進(jìn)度考生也是受控于計算機(jī)的(20分鐘寫作時間)。
6、兩者評分的側(cè)重點不同
雅思小作文中有條理、重點突出、語法(比如時態(tài))正確等為評分依據(jù)而新托福中更關(guān)注的是信息的完整與否以及整篇文章的信息是否 well-organized.

As to the situation of cool climate, we adopt the high-angled roof in order to be nearly parallel with the direction of the sun so that the direct exposition to the heat of sun is lessened as much as we can. Meanwhile, thermal building material could enhance the heat storage insulation, preventing outflow, thus reduction of heat.

The bar chart compares the proportion of employees of both genders employed in executive positions in ACNE Oil Company within a one-year period between July 1993 and June 1994.
As can be seen from the chart, the percentage of male employees generally increased with the rise of the job categories from Grade E to Grade A while the opposite was true with that of women.
Grade A, which was reported as the highest position, was a male dominated one in which only one-tenth of the staff were female while male employees accounted for the rest.
When it comes to Grade B and C, men also took up over half of the employees, accounting for 80% and 60%, which are 50% and 10% higher than that of women respectively.
However, the situation in the other two jobs categories, which were relatively lower in rank, was totally reversed, with women taking up relatively larger proportion. Men constituted roughly 40% in Grade D, 20% less than that if women and most of the working staff in Grade E were women (over 70%) , twice the percentage of men.
To sum up, on the rank ladder of ACME Oil Company, male employees took up a higher and higher proportion than the weaker sex as it gradually went up to the peak -------- Grade A.
