State/council housing
In some countries the government provides state or council housing
This helps people who cannot afford to buy their own house

在日常英語中,人們有時借用這個成語表示著迷、癡心妄想或稀奇古怪的思維方式,如have a bee in one's bonnet(蜜蜂藏在帽子里), get a bee in one's head(腦袋里鉆進了蜜蜂)或have one's head full of bees(腦袋里全是蜜蜂),均可比喻滿腦子的古怪主意、荒誕念頭或奇思妙想。
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beat the air.
英語中使用bean的成語很多,如old bean(老朋友),every bean has its black(每粒豆子都有?黑店),以及he knows how many beans make five(他不是傻子)。 因此,not worth a bean就是一文不值,而without a bean是幾乎就要破產了。
