　　suggest的用法

　　1. vt. 建議/提議

　　1) suggest sth (to sb) (向某人)建議某事

　　如：I'll suggest a new plan (to him).

　　2) suggest doing sth 建議做某事

　　如：He suggested going fishing this afternoon.

　　3) suggest sb/one's doing sth 建議某人做某事

　　如：You should suggest him/his giving up smoking.

　　4) suggest + that從句 建議...

　　此時(shí)要求that從句使用虛擬語氣，即從句的謂語由“(should) + 動(dòng)詞原形”構(gòu)成，且should可以省略。

　　如：He suggested (that) she (should) go to Beijing right away.

　　2. Vt.暗示/表明

　　suggest + that從句 (表示此意思的時(shí)候，一般只考查這一個(gè)用法)

　　其賓語從句不能使用虛擬語氣，而是使用陳述語氣，即該用什么時(shí)態(tài)就用什么時(shí)態(tài)，只是要注意和主句suggest的時(shí)態(tài)對(duì)應(yīng)即可。

　　如：His words suggested (that) he was unhappy.

　　suggest虛擬語氣用法

　　1. suggest表示提出建議

　　若suggest表示“建議”，后接從句所表示的內(nèi)容為建議要做的事情，也就是說從句所描述的內(nèi)容尚未成為事實(shí)，此時(shí)從句謂語要用虛擬語氣，即謂語采用“should+動(dòng)詞原形”，其中的should在美國英語中通常被省略。如：

　　I suggest that we (should) have lunch now. 我建議我們現(xiàn)在吃午飯。

　　He suggested that she (should) come another day. 他建議她改天再來。

　　2. suggest表示陳述事實(shí)

　　若賓語從句的內(nèi)容表示的是已經(jīng)存在的真實(shí)情況，則用陳述語氣，此是suggest的意思是“暗示”“表明”“指出”“提出(看法)”等。如：

　　His smile suggested that he was satisfied. 他的微笑表明他是滿意的。

　　I’m not suggesting that the accident was your fault. 我并不是說這個(gè)事故是你的錯(cuò)。

　　Others suggest that they two will be equals. 其他人認(rèn)為他們倆將是勢(shì)均力敵。

　　注意，除suggest外，advise, propose等在表示“建議”時(shí)，若后接賓語從句，從句也應(yīng)使用“should+動(dòng)詞原形”這樣的虛擬語氣，其中的should在美國英語中通常被省略。如：
