imagine的用法1:imagine的基本含義是“想象”,即把五官感覺不到的東西在內(nèi)心加以描述。這些東西可能是實際上并不存在的,也可能是雖然存在但尚不了解的,這時譯為“猜想”“料想”。
imagine的用法2:imagine是及物動詞,其主語一般是表示人的名詞或代詞。在表示“想象某人〔物〕〔事〕可能存在或發(fā)生”時,可接sb/sth; 在表示“想象或認(rèn)為某人做某事”時,可接名詞、代詞或動名詞作賓語; 在表示“把某人〔物〕〔事〕想象成…”時,可接由名詞、代詞、形容詞、現(xiàn)在分詞、過去分詞作賓語補足語的復(fù)合賓語; 而在表示“想象…”或“假定…”時則可接that/what從句。
